The group was most complimentary of our students and staff, expressing thanks for making the Immersion Day a memorable field experience for these middle level pre-professional students who are enrolled in introductory education classes in the Spadoni College of Education. Mrs. Ford presented each student with a certificate that said, “Congratulations on completing a day in the life of a middle school teacher!” She reminded the students that, At Johnakin Middle School we are preparing for HIGH SCHOOL and BEYOND!

District Support Staff and Bus Driver of the Year
District Support Staff and Bus Driver of the Year Congratulations to Cathern Roberts and Steven Sparks, who were chosen as the Classified Staff of the Year and Bus Driver of the year, respectively.  Ms. Roberts is a reading interventionist at Easterling Primary School.  She has worked at Easterling for six years, and is known throughout the school for her willingness to help out, take on additional duties, and do whatever is necessary for the good of the students. Mr. Sparks drives for Creek Bridge High School, and is known and respected by the Creek Bridge staff for being flexible and having a great rapport with the students. He has taken on field trips with very little notice and works hard to meet the transportation needs of his school. Congratulations to both of you!
